Manhole... Or according to wikipedia it can alternatively be refered to as 'utility hole, maintenance hole or access chamber', so we learn that 'man' is simular to utility, maintenance and access... And to correct you, it is actually a manhole cover, which is even nicer... Is your manhole covered?
